Stewart Lloyd Germann who is a Barrister and Solicitor of the
High Court of New Zealand was educated at Auckland Grammar School,
attended the University of Auckland and has the qualifications
of B.Com, LLB, FCIS, MNZIM and Notary Public. Stewart specialises
in franchising, licensing, sale and purchase of businesses and
commercial law.
Stewart Germann has over 33 years' experience in franchising law
and acts for many franchisors in New Zealand and overseas. Stewart
also acts for many franchisees advising them about a particular
franchise and commenting on the form of franchise documents.
From 1997 to 1999 Stewart was the Chairman of the Franchise Association
of New Zealand. He has spoken at franchising conferences in New
Zealand, Australia and USA and is very interested in international
franchising. He has also written numerous articles on franchising.
Stewart Germann was judged the Winner of the Service Provider
of the Year in the New Zealand Franchise Awards 2004.
In 2001 Stewart Germann was elected onto
the Board of the Supplier Forum and is the first person to be
on that Board from outside the US and Canada and he served for 6 years on that Board.
Stewart Germann is one of only two New Zealand lawyers included in the
International Who's Who of Franchise Lawyers.
Stewart is a qualified mediator and is a member of LEADR and AMINZ.
He is also on the Panel of Mediators of the Franchise Association
of New Zealand. As an Adviser, Stewart Germann has agreed to comply
with the New Zealand Franchising Code of Practice administered
by the Franchise Association of New Zealand.
